First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at System1 Group.
Intern
The interview process was really good, all interviewers were very warm and friendly. There were four rounds of interviews. The first was with the hiring manager, then two people who work there, another two involved a presentation task, and the last one was with someone senior.
- What makes you interested in System 1?
Marketing Role
I first spoke with a recruiter who was really nice and asked relevant questions about my background, including some behavioral ones. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager. I don't think I was the right fit for what she was looking for, and she asked questions about my ability to travel because I have kids, which felt discriminatory. After the interview, the recruiter gave vague updates on timing and then ghosted me completely. I never got a rejection, and it's been months without any closure. This whole process was disappointing, unprofessional, and discriminatory. They should at least give candidates an update, good or bad. The lack of respect makes me question what it's like to work there.
- Can you share an example of an innovative marketing campaign you've launched?
Research Associate
A recruiter I knew put me forward for the RA role and the entire experience was smooth and quite relaxed. After they scheduled my interview, I had a week to get ready and put together a brief presentation (5 mins about something I was really into). The interview itself was also a good time, the team was super nice and I felt comfortable. I did my presentation first, followed by a 30-minute test involving numbers (calculating statistical significance percentages) and a spot-the-error task. The actual interview was last, and the whole thing took about an hour and a half. It's great that there's only one interview! If they offer you the job, they also conduct a thorough 5-year background check.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- Could you mention an advert that you find appealing?
Commercial Operations Executive
The first step was a general teams call with an internal recruiter to chat about my interest in the role and my past experience. Then, I had a teams call with a senior commercial operations executive, which was pretty similar but dug more into situational and behavioral questions. The final stage was a teams meeting with both a senior commercial operations executive and a global commercial operations executive where I had to give a presentation and then answer some questions.
