Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Syneos Health.
Intern
HR first reached out, and we did a quick chat about why I wanted to work there and went over my resume. Then I talked to the manager for the team about the job and my experience. Lastly, I had a chat with someone who would be my mentor.
- What makes you want to pursue clinical research over a role in a pharmacy, hospital, or lab?
- Describe a time you experienced conflict within a team.
Intern
Interviews are held virtually. There are typically two rounds. You'll start by meeting a team member, and then you'll meet with the manager or the highest-ranking person on the team you'd be working with. This can differ depending on the specific position.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your potential contributions to this role?
Intern
I had a phone interview, which was a really pleasant and professional experience. It was more a conversation than a typical interview where you just answer questions. What happened afterwards was the reason why I declined their offer. The whole process got tangled in their internal bureaucracy. They only kept contact with university administration and I was not included. This resulted in me getting a contract few days before I was supposed to start working. The best part is, the contract did not cover some of my requests which we discussed during the interview. I was really looking forward to this job, but unfortunately somewhere along the way the communication did not work out.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences?
- Could you discuss some of the points mentioned in your CV?
- Tell me about a situation where you encountered a problem and how you managed to resolve it.
