First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Symrise.
Senior Analyst
Had a direct interview with the manager and another person from HR. The interview focused directly on the position, with excellent explanation from the manager. I had the opportunity to speak briefly. HR consistently emphasized the company's culture, mission, and values, and showed concern for the well-being of the professionals working there.
- Tell me about yourself?
Project Analyst
For a Project Analyst role, I went through 2 technical assessment rounds and then a final interview. It took about 3 weeks which was pretty efficient, and the HR person was nice. My experience was just okay. I got rejected after the final round, and they reposted the job quick. The job ad said it focused on research methods and working with different fields, which fit me. But the last interview seemed to really care about programming skills, like Python for software engineers, which wasn't clear from the job description or earlier parts. This job has been open for a while (over 6 months), so maybe they don't know what they want. If they want deep technical skills, they should say so upfront. The job description and what they actually test for could be better matched.
- Questions about Python
- Questions about statistics
- Questions about research design
Analyst
A process that follows market standards, including an English test and meetings with management and directors. Also included psychological profile tests and technical knowledge assessment.
- Could you tell me about your knowledge of the company, your expectations, and describe some challenges you've overcome?
- Were psychological profile tests administered?
- Was your technical knowledge assessed?
