Senior Staff Software Engineer
The interview started with a technical interview, which was handled by a third-party agency. The questions asked were quite irrelevant. For instance, they asked me to write a program to fetch details from a JWT token, and I'm unsure what the interviewer was trying to ascertain with that question. I believe the interview process should be managed internally rather than outsourced.
- Explain how to handle idempotency.
- Can you write a program to extract details from a JWT token and ensure requests are only completed by Administrators?
Data Scientist
The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen. Next, I had an interview with the hiring manager, which focused on my experience and behavioral aspects. Following that, there was a panel interview with three people, including the hiring manager, where we discussed my experience and had a technical conversation. The final round was an interview with the vice president, centered on behavior and culture fit.
- Could you describe an ML project you've completed?
- Can you recall a situation where you had to juggle several urgent tasks from different people?
Training Specialist
There was a multi-step hiring process which included a phone screen, a panel interview, an executive interview, and possibly a small project. The initial phone screen with the recruiter went well. The panel interview was with two hiring managers and had about 4-5 questions within a 30-minute time frame, conducted on camera. Even though the recruiter mentioned metrics would be discussed, no training metrics questions came up. The questions were similar to the recruiter's. I have the required end-to-end training experience, but I got an email saying they are moving on. Maybe they want someone more entry-level? I heard the last person left for a promotion elsewhere.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Product Owner
The interview process itself was pretty solid and the questions they asked were on point. But, getting ghosted after it all really wasn't cool and shows a lack of professionalism. It would be smart to ask upfront if they give feedback or tell you the results after the interview. This way, people like me can better manage our time and not get our hopes up too high. Interviews are good for learning, sure, but they also take up emotional energy and you're genuinely trying to land the job. Being upfront and communicating on time makes a big difference in how respectful and positive the whole experience feels. If you have any questions about the interview, hit me up on LinkedIn. Good luck!
- Can you share an instance where you defined or communicated a specific goal or product vision to stakeholders?
- Tell me about a situation where you had to prioritize certain tasks.
- Could you explain your process for product discovery?
