Straightforward process, started after 2 weeks from the application: - Joint interview with department head and HR specialist: simple interview about my work experience and general motivations to join - Double interview with team leader and another Digital business analyst: weird interview where I was the one invited to ask questions to the team for the entire 45min After 1 week I received confusing indications: a email with the cancellation of my profile and a phone call telling me not to worry abou it as it was a mistake. Finally after another 2-3 days I received the rejection via phone but they didn't provide any detail about why or what. After the previous misguiding communication and the lack of explanation I was taken back by this low level of professionalism.

We had a really nice atmosphere and super friendly staff! It started with a group exercise where we discussed things like piercings. After that, everyone did a role-play, mine was a smoke incident in the lavatory in English. Then everyone had an interview. We got the news the next day by phone. I turned it down back in May 2023 because I was too scared to move to another country. My best friend accepted though and loves it there.

I applied online in August 2023. Less than a week later, I received an invitation for the first online interview. It had four pre-recorded questions: three in German and one in English. You had to answer in the language the question was asked. Each question could be rewatched twice, followed by a 30-second preparation time and a 2-minute answer period. My questions were about my motivation for the role, what makes a good host, how I stay resilient and flexible, and the challenges of being cabin crew. After that, I could choose a date for the casting in Kloten at SWISS. After check-in (filling out personal details like name, DOB, passport, height, piercings, tattoos, etc.), we were led to a room with other candidates. We got a short presentation about SWISS and the cabin crew job, then were divided into groups. In our group, we had to introduce ourselves in English, draw a picture, and talk about it briefly. Then we were given a question about uniform requirements to discuss as a group for 10 minutes. After a short break, candidates were called individually for interviews with a training person. The atmosphere was pleasant and friendly, which helped ease nerves. The interview was in German and English, and included a manageable role-play in English where a meal option wasn't available. The 30-minute interview heavily focused on the CV. I got the acceptance email the next day. Out of 12 in my initial group, 10 were hired.

The way to the assessment center is well signposted in the building. You are warmly welcomed and check yourself in on a sheet with name, date of birth, passport validity, etc. Then you are first taken to a room with about 8 or 9 other people and can chat beforehand (highly recommended, as you act as a team from the start!). Afterwards, everyone is taken to another room, where there's delicious chocolate and a Swiss keychain on each seat. First, the 4 contact persons introduce themselves, then there's a short presentation about the training and the years that follow. Afterwards, the group splits into 2 smaller groups, and your teamwork skills are tested. You are given either a situation or a collection of terms from which you have to collectively find the best term. After returning to the main room, you will be called for individual interviews. The staff are super friendly, and you feel comfortable due to the close communication. The interview includes a role-play (in English) where you have to handle a passenger situation. Afterwards, you can go home. For me, it didn't take half a day as described, but it was still very informative and felt very personal.
