The hiring team wasn't clear about the role they were trying to fill, and after two rounds of interviews, it turned out they were looking for a completely different position. The HR department was also very slow to respond, even after multiple follow-ups.

The interview process had two rounds. The first round had three parts: a general introduction, a Design Thinking section where I had to solve a given scenario to show my problem-solving skills, and a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) section to check my analytical abilities and how I dig into problems. The second round was with the team lead. We talked a lot about my CV, asking about my previous projects, my roles, and what I was responsible for. This round also had a personality test to see how I'd fit with the team and manage different work scenarios.

I applied for this role and decided to ignore the bad reviews I saw. Honestly, it was the worst interview experience ever, taking over 2.5 months. The final leadership chat and the Engg round were pretty good though. However, none of the interviews started on time, and I was left waiting for over an hour between stages. The first PM interview felt like the interviewer already had an answer and was just looking for me to match it, not open to other ideas and kept interrupting me. The recruiters were super unprofessional, never giving updates on decisions or even if I was moving forward, even though I reached the final round. The panel debrief took another 3 weeks with zero communication, and when I finally chased them, they just said they couldn't find a role for me without any details.
