Area Manager
The interview process wasn't streamlined for the Area Manager position in Coimbatore. It involved an HR round, a telephonic round, an aptitude test, and a face-to-face with the operations manager. After clearing all these, I was told there was one more round. They didn't call back for a long time, and when I inquired, they said my profile lacked people management experience, which should have been mentioned in the first round. I incurred travel costs of 8000rs from Chennai to Coimbatore. The interviews happened over a month with a week's gap between rounds, and this issue was only identified in the final round. Aspirants should confirm details before attending. The HR and management seem unaware, leading to wasted time, money, and energy. They are still in a startup phase.
- Can you explain how batting average is calculated in cricket?
- Imagine a delivery boy steals a purse from a restaurant during a delivery and is later caught on security camera. How would you manage this scenario?
- What steps would you take if a customer physically assaults a delivery boy, and subsequent investigation reveals the customer was at fault?
Operations Manager
It was pretty straightforward. They focused on my resume and previous work. I got asked business and situation-based questions, like why I wanted to join. We also discussed cross-functional collaboration, initiatives I'd taken to cut down last-mile costs, and other program initiatives, plus I had to go into detail about my projects.
- Could you discuss your previous experience?
- Can you provide details regarding your resume?
- What motivates your interest in joining us?
Operations Manager
Round 1 was with the hiring manager where they asked me to talk about myself. Round 2 was a case study. Round 3 was with the city head, and it involved scenario-based questions. Round 4 was an HR round. Overall, it was a really interactive and challenging interview.
- Could you share an instance of a past operational issue you encountered and explain how you resolved it?
