Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at sweetgreen.
Team Member
It was a chatty interview, mostly focused on general fit rather than specific skills. The main point was to show you're friendly, optimistic, and a good collaborator. They asked about my past work and why I was interested in this particular role – always have a good answer ready for that last one.
- How do you collaborate with others?
Team Member
The interview process was standard with typical questions. Expectations were met given it's a salad chain. I was hired right away. I brought my resume but didn't end up needing it. It was a conversational interview.
- Can you tell me about your work experience?
Team Member
It was pretty easy, took about 15-30 minutes total. I talked to the hiring manager first, then the regional manager. They asked some direct questions about my availability and what role I wanted. A couple questions needed a quick story from me.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What do you enjoy most about working in customer service?
- Describe a time you had to deal with a dissatisfied customer.
