I applied online and heard back pretty fast via email. The interview was super short, only about 10 minutes. They asked about 10 questions, mostly starting with 'Tell me about a time when...', and confirmed I was looking for full-time work since that's a requirement for the ASM role. I got a rejection email four days later from the store manager. I asked for feedback, and she said the main reason was my lack of retail experience, but that I seemed really professional.

I applied for ASM and got a call from HR right away. She was very abrupt and I could barely speak. Then I had an interview with the SM that went well, but it was almost 3 hours long! The SM said the DM would call me to schedule an interview, but she never did. Later, the SM called to explain there was a mix-up and her store couldn't actually hire an assistant manager. She mentioned she had a full-time opening that was the same job but with less pay and title. She promised to get an offer approved by the DM. A few days after, the DM called and left a message asking to schedule an interview for the next day. I thought I would get an offer for the other full-time role without more hassle.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process began with a 30-minute phone call where we discussed my experience, work, and salary expectations. Following that, I was invited for an in-person interview. This involved a homework assignment: a case study with two questions related to my future duties, which I then had to present using PowerPoint for 15 minutes. The first in-person meeting was a 45-minute session with the VP of Marketing. He didn't ask direct questions but spent most of the time talking about the company. It was a relaxed atmosphere, but I maintained professionalism. After a short 10-minute break, the second interview commenced with members of the marketing department. They were initially not very friendly and immediately asked me to start my presentation without any introductory chat. I waited three weeks for their feedback, and after I reached out, my application was rejected the following day.
