Project Manager
First, I had a phone screening with the TA recruiter. They talked about the company and asked me why I'm looking to leave my current job. Then, I had to take an online analytical skill assessment with a bunch of questions about reading comprehension, analyzing graphs, and doing basic math. After that, I interviewed with three people where we talked about my resume, they asked me some behavioral questions, and I got to ask them about the company. Finally, I had a last interview with the Director. I walked them through my experience, and they told me about the company's current situation, and we did a Q&A.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to handle a client's unreasonable request.
Project Manager
The interview process felt comfortable overall. It started with a 90-minute session focused entirely on behavioral questions. After that, it was your turn to ask questions. The questions asked were designed to see how well you can think on your feet, and they could be about any experience, work-related or not. You'll meet with an HR rep, someone in a similar role, and someone from a different department.
- Can you describe a type of person you find it difficult to collaborate with?
Project Manager
It was pretty straightforward. First, a screening phone call, then it took about a week to get back to me. After that, they asked me to do an analytical assessment, which was a 70-minute math, logic, and reasoning test. Then I was invited for an in-person interview. Everyone I met was very nice and professional. They started by asking questions about my resume, followed by a bunch of behavioral questions. Probably more than I've had in other interviews, but they were mostly pretty standard. They really want you to give detailed answers. The interview itself lasted about an hour. They got back to me two days later with a standard rejection email.
- Can you tell me about the most challenging research project you've tackled, either in school or at work?
- Of all your accomplishments, which one are you most proud of?
- Have you ever taught yourself something out of sheer interest, with no specific purpose?
