I was contacted via phone, email, and text to schedule an interview. When I called back to learn more, they were really unclear about the job duties but pushed for an in-person interview. They made it sound like marketing, but it's actually door-to-door sales for Verizon services to businesses.

They want to see if you can talk to people you dont know. We discussed school, life, sports, and other topics. They aim to make you feel really good about yourself. Then, you'll do a shadow interview where you observe us interacting with customers. Your task is to simply start a conversation with the customer, and you'll essentially get the job.

The interview process was very brief and felt somewhat cold. The interviewer seemed young, possibly younger than me, which made me feel she might have biases. I tried to be reasonable and showcased all my skill sets. She appeared quite cold and emotionless during her questions, almost as if she was forced to do her job. It was ironic because she asked me emotional questions, yet expressed herself in a confusing, cold manner. She didn't seem to know what she was doing, and despite my strong credentials, she seemed to favor someone else.

The interview process at Suttle and King had about three or four interviews. The first one was a video interview where you record yourself answering questions. This probably helps with the pandemic. All the questions were about soft skills since it's an entry-level sales job and not technical. They explained everything well and I could ask questions, but I didn't really have any. Overall, it was a great experience.
