It was a pretty simple interview process. I was asked a few scenario-based questions and we talked about my background. It wasn't a panel, just the floor manager. The interview took about 40 minutes, and I got an offer the very next day. I've interviewed at Sutter before, and those times included a panel of managers, but otherwise, they were pretty similar to this one.

The interview felt more like a casual chat, very laid back. It was a positive experience overall. It was a short interview with the manager and another nurse. I felt welcomed and comfortable. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. They focused a lot on the unit's culture and if I'd be a good fit.

The interview itself was great and the people interviewing asked relevant questions about the job and were very interactive. The negative feedback is for the recruiter. After submitting my resume with all my nursing experience, I was called a few days after the interview and offered a position, which I accepted. A week later, I got an email saying I rejected the offer, which was confusing. When I called the recruiter, she explained there's a Sutter rule preventing internal transfers within 6 months at another Sutter facility. I had already quit my previous Sutter job upon receiving the offer and mentioned this was on my resume. I questioned why my application wasn't rejected automatically. Potential applicants should be aware of this 6-month rule for transfers from other Sutter facilities and confirm your recruiter thoroughly reviews your resume, as mine apparently did not. Fortunately, my wife's income has allowed me to be temporarily unemployed since I resigned based on the job offer.
