Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Surgical Notes.
Senior Accountant
The first interview was online and was a typical Q&A. Then, the second interview was a lunch where I met more of the team.
- How does your background align with the requirements of this role?
Accounts Receivable Specialist
I went through 3 interviews for this role. Planning and communication with the company were really smooth. I got great responses via email and they were very upfront about timelines and what they expected pay-wise, answering all my questions.
- Could you elaborate on your past experiences?
Accounts Receivable Specialist
I had a quick phone call with HR, but couldn't hear them well because they were on speakerphone. I asked them to switch, but they didn't. After that, I got an email with three tests that took about 1.5 hours to finish. Three days later, I found out I didn't get the job. I think the tests were way too long and involved for an interview, especially since I have 12 years of AR experience. It felt like a quiz decided everything. Honestly, don't bother applying, the pay isn't even competitive.
