First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Surgical Notes.
Insurance Collector
First, there was a phone screen to make sure I met the requirements for remote work and the basic job duties. They asked about the medical software I've used. Then, I had a Microsoft Teams interview with the supervisor and a teammate. It was 45 minutes long and focused on the role and how my experience would be a good fit for the team.
- Tell me about your experience with ASC collections and follow-up.
Senior Executive
The interview questions were good and related to the posting. All answers were given according to the process, and all rounds were cleared successfully. Questions covered knowledge of copay, co-insurance, refund, offset, EOB, ERA, previous working experiences, and work profile in the last organization in payment posting.
- How do you handle ERA and the process for creating patient refunds?
Revenue Cycle Representative
I applied and after they looked at my resume, a HR person called me to ask more about my background. Then I got a link to do some simple tests: Excel, aptitude, and AR. After I passed those, I got another email to pick times for a second interview. I had that interview the next week, and the week after that, they offered me the job.
- Can you share an experience of dealing with an unhappy client, describing the situation and your resolution?
Insurance Verification Specialist
So, I had a phone chat with Trey first. Then I met Jennifer from HR. The last interview was with Amy, who used to be my insurance supervisor, and it was remote. They didn't offer me the job then because they hired someone else, but they said they'd let me know if another spot opened up. They did reach out pretty quickly and offered me the job a few months down the line. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and everyone I spoke with was really professional and helpful.
- Can you tell me how many years you have worked in the medical field?
