Inside Sales Representative
Applied via LinkedIn and Surepayroll website, got an email from a Paychex recruiter the next day to schedule a chat about my experience and the role. They liked me and moved me to a phone interview with the District Manager. Then I got a test to see if I fit the culture. After that, it was an in-person interview with two different DSMs. The next step was a job shadow with two top reps, followed by a final interview with the sales manager the same day. I got the job offer on the spot!
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
Inside Sales
So, first there was a phone call, then some online tests. After that, I had two in-person interviews. Then came this shadow thing, where I hung out with two sales reps for about two hours. The last interview was with the VP of sales himself, and it was in Chicago. It was a really good experience, I liked everyone I met, which is why I took the offer.
- Tell me about your motivation, why you like a competitive field, and what things have proven that in your life.
- They wanted to ensure that you are interested in sales and that you would be dedicated for a career compared to just a job after graduation.
- They like it if you can hold your own in a conversation, and even keep the interviewer interested in other things that are not directly related to the questions being asked.
Inside Sales
I first had a call with a recruiter, I think I saw the job on career builder or LinkedIn. Then I went in person to interview with one of the sales managers. After that, I had another interview with a different manager. The last interview was with the VP of sales.
