Intern
A friend’s mom introduced me to this sales role. They scheduled a Zoom interview for it. After that, they ended up offering me an internship instead. I worked in sales ops, client success, and marketing. I did data cleaning in the CRM, made simple dashboards, and listened in on discovery calls. I also wrote scripts for outreach, tried out email campaigns, and reported on weekly metrics. This internship was a good fit for me. I got good reviews and they asked me to stay for a longer project.

Account Executive
The interview process started with two good rounds. The third interview was a disaster though. I had to reschedule because I was attending a funeral, and then when we finally had the interview, I experienced some technical difficulties even though I joined the Zoom call early. The interviewer was very rude and didn't even give me 5 minutes. I was able to call in, but he refused to continue and suggested we reschedule for a time when I was 'more prepared'. I had already logged in early to avoid this! After that, I never heard back from them. Honestly, I wouldn't want to work for such a condescending and rude person. I felt I had a lot to offer and had even prepared leads and lead generation opportunities. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews.
- What value would you bring to Surefire?
Social Coach
I filled out a form on the company website explaining why I would be a good fit for the role. The Director of Sales contacted me over the phone and afterwards I was invited into their office for an interview. I met with the CEO and a VP to discuss my background and the specifics of the job. Afterwards I met with a sales manager to discuss more details of the day to day job duties and the way sales reps are paid.
- Does your wife work?
Account Executive
I talked to 2 sales managers and a VP of sales. They asked me a few questions and then had me do a mock cold call using their script. We also discussed my past sales work, how I felt about the commute, and what they expected from me.
- Would you be comfortable using a script for all your cold calls?
