The hiring process was quite extensive. After submitting my application, I had an initial screening call with a recruiter. This was followed by four additional interviews, and the final step involved completing a task. The entire process spanned about a month and a half.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview journey started with an HR screen, followed by a chat with the hiring manager. Then came a virtual onsite, which involved about five interviews with people at different company levels and included presenting a take-home assessment. After that, there was a culture screen with someone not in the hiring department. The process wrapped up with a final Q&A with the hiring manager before the offer stage. Even though it was thorough, the process was really well put together and gave a great sense of the company culture and the team/role. I appreciated talking to people on my potential team and cross-functional teams. HR did a fantastic job organizing everything. The virtual onsite is a big time commitment, and trying to do it all in one day is almost impossible due to packed schedules. They conveniently spread the onsite over two days, which was great because I didn't experience interview fatigue and felt energized for each conversation. Overall, it was a time commitment, but the interviewers seemed to really value my time. I also liked that Grammarly has unique ways to assess both talent and culture fit. It was one of the best interview experiences I've had.

The recruiter called and weirdly mentioned no chance of promotion, which wasn't a concern since it wasn't entry-level. She said she'd set me up with the hiring manager, but then I got an email saying I was rejected, with no feedback.
