Grammarly's interview process was super tough but really rewarding. Every step made me think harder and learn more about the company and its mission. I got more and more excited with each new thing I learned. What really stood out was the company culture. Everyone from HR to managers to future teammates was so nice, smart, real, and driven. It's obvious Grammarly lives its values. They're serious about building a team that fits their culture and finding people who align with it. The recruiting team kept me updated and moved fast. I felt supported and respected, which isn't always the case. If you like growing, good leadership, and doing meaningful work, it's worth the effort. The steps were: HR screening, interview with hiring managers, a mock call, interview with the VP of Sales, and then an offer if everything went well.

It began with a recruiter phone call, and then I interviewed with the hiring manager. Everyone involved was professional, and the recruiter was particularly helpful. I was impressed that she took the time to leave me a voicemail explaining why I wasn't selected over other candidates. It's not something many companies do nowadays, and I really appreciated that.

I had my interview today with the recruiter. She was 10 minutes late and didn't seem prepared. She asked me questions that didn't really align with my years of experience in the industry. The worst part was when I asked her about the segment's quota attainment for Q3 2023, and she said she didn't have it. This is a super common question, and she should have been ready. It made me think, if a salesperson showed up without their quota numbers, they wouldn't get the job. So why is it okay for a recruiter to be so unprepared? It was a bad experience. I don't know if I'll get a second interview yet since it's only been 24 hours.
