I filled out an online application and maybe two days later received a callback. Some basic intro questions with someone who said she was new. There was a frustrating phone provider interruption and disconnect, with no reception at moments, over two days. She did not apologize. The day after her callback to me, the interview was nailed down. At the conclusion, about ten minutes, she asked me to meet in person with her and the Store Manager. The next day, I had a tandem interview with them both. It was non-threatening but very thorough. It lasted an hour. They might get you thinking or wished you had prepared answers prior. They did not shake my hand or open the door at the conclusion. I did not feel wholly at ease with the Store Manager, but I am very attune to energies.

I filled out an online application with my work history and interests. Then, I got a phone call and was sent an online survey with moral questions about my personality and what I'd do in certain situations. About a week later, I was called in for an interview with the store manager and assistant manager. They asked a lot of questions, mostly about community service, my values, and opinions on important things. They also asked typical interview questions like strengths/weaknesses, handling an unsatisfied customer, dealing with disagreements with coworkers or customers, and my work ethic. Plus, they asked about my knowledge of vitamins, herbs, supplements, homeopathy, and natural remedies, asking me to rate my knowledge on a scale of 1-5.

I applied online, and after a couple of weeks, a recruiter from Super Supplements called me for a phone interview. They asked questions similar to those on the online application, like if I'd visited a store and what I liked. I definitely suggest checking out a store before applying. After that, they said they'd email me a link to an online test (a personality test) to do over the weekend, and I should reply when finished. I got the test on Friday, did it right away, and replied the same day instead of waiting for Monday. That same Friday, the store manager contacted me to set up an interview for Tuesday. The interview had three people: the store manager, a regional manager, and another employee, possibly a sales associate or assistant manager. It lasted an hour. They asked about my past work experience and about customer and co-worker scenarios in the store, asking what I would do. I also had to rate my knowledge on supplement categories like vitamins/minerals, herbs, sports nutrition, and homeopathic supplements, and then describe them, along with weight loss and weight gain supplements. Given my nutrition degrees, I found it a bit strange to be asked to describe such broad topics. I wasn't sure where to begin since I could talk about most of them extensively. When I started on vitamins and minerals (after rating my knowledge as excellent), I listed the fat-soluble and water-soluble ones but then forgot the names of the B vitamins, saying I might have forgotten them, even though I know their functions well. The regional manager seemed annoyed and said if my knowledge was excellent, I should know everything. So, I asked if he wanted me to describe each one, and he said yes, so I went into detail, which seemed to satisfy them.
