First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SUNY Albany.
Graduate Assistant
The interview was welcoming and informative. They were thorough and understanding, and willing to train and develop new talent. It was a great experience, and the department was great to work with. I couldn’t have asked for a better position to work as a student.
- How do you envision your personal growth within this position?
Graduate Assistant
I applied in May 2014 by emailing my resume and cover letter, and then I didn't hear back for an interview until June. It was a pretty basic interview, mostly just a get-to-know-you type of chat. Having a great GPA and being involved on campus is definitely a plus for this role!
- What qualifies you for this role?
- Can you share examples of your contributions on campus that have made a difference?
Graduate Assistant
It was a series of interviews in one day. You first have a 1:1 interview with someone from higher management. Then, you have a group interview with about 2-4 people, including potential coworkers and higher management. They ask questions about your skills and what you want to learn.
- How does this opportunity align with your career aspirations?
