I had an initial phone interview with an engineering lead, which went well and led to an onsite interview with five scheduled rounds. The first two rounds went smoothly, the third was average, but the fourth was abruptly canceled due to the interviewer being unavailable. It was never rescheduled, and I was later told the process was complete. Regardless of performance, candidates deserve the opportunity to complete the full interview loop. The lack of follow-through and communication made the experience feel disrespectful and unprofessional.

I got a message on LinkedIn from a recruiter. We had a brief and friendly phone chat where they gave me the job description and set up an initial meeting with the hiring team. That went well, and then I was scheduled for a coding interview. They mentioned a possible HR round afterward. The coding question was pretty straightforward; I finished it early, optimized it, and provided the correct time and space complexity. Three days later, the recruiter informed me they were moving forward with another candidate but didn't give a specific reason, even after I asked. I was really interested in this role because it seemed like a good fit for my background. It would have been helpful to get some feedback.
