PV Designer
I reached out to the hiring HR on LinkedIn, and after that I had a HR call where I was interviewed briefly. Then I received an email for a technical interview with the technical manager, which went on for about an hour. The questions asked were easy, and the manager was very nice. Following that, I was invited for a face-to-face interview. They gave me a test with questions about PV design, and after the test, we had a half-hour interview discussing it.
- Can you share your knowledge about Solar energy?
- Can you describe your understanding of PV design principles?
PV Designer
Had my initial phone screening, the interviewer was a bit rude, but I moved on to the next step, which was supposed to be virtual. I didn't get the link for the meeting, even though they said they sent it the day after the screening. I assumed they'd send it the day of, like most companies. They called me to ask why I missed it. I explained, and then they were really harsh about it. It was the worst interview experience ever.
- How familiar are you with CAD, on a scale of 1 to 10?
PV Designer
I applied online. A recruiter reached out to set up a phone chat with the hiring manager for the Designer role. Following that, I went to their office for an in-person interview. This included a written test and a verbal interview where they asked me about basic electrical, solar, and structural knowledge. I got an offer about a week later.
- Can you identify the different parts of a roof structure?
