It was a pretty typical process, starting with a recruiter call, and then I had two manager interviews after that. They really wanted to know about my relevant experience from previous jobs. They also asked about my personal interests. There were a lot of other people interviewing too, which makes sense since SunRun is a big company.

The interview process was quick and easy. They tend to ask the same questions over and over in different ways, which can be tiring as you have to find new ways to explain the same things. It's a pretty standard interview format where they'll hit you with those typical tough questions about your past job duties and how you managed them.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you share an instance where you struggled with communication and how you fixed it?
  • Tell me about responsibilities you had in previous jobs and how you dealt with them.

Applied through Zip Recruiter and got contacted about a week later. Had a phone screen which was a basic first level interview. They then requested an in-person interview, mentioning they needed to fill positions quickly due to rapid growth. Went for the in-person interview the following week, meeting with two supervisors for about 45 minutes. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm, and the interviewers were friendly. They asked standard questions like 'tell me about yourself', 'what do you know about Sunrun and solar', 'how does your experience apply to this role', 'why do you want to work here', and 'what sets you apart'. Happy with the experience overall. Got called back two days later with an offer.
