We kick things off with campus recruitment, offering a bunch of cool opportunities. Sungard Availability Services' Recovery-As-A-Service solutions are all about making businesses resilient. They start with protecting your data, then they can recover your environment or compute infrastructure. Plus, they bring 35 years of IT recovery experience to the table to manage the whole program. These RaaS solutions are pretty flexible, working with complicated, hybrid systems, and can grow or shrink as you need them to, hitting all sorts of recovery time and point objectives (RTOs/RPOs). I had phone interviews and then met with multiple VPs. The first few were technical, and the rest focused on character and cultural fit. After several interviews and feedback from senior folks, if it all goes well, you get an offer. Post-offer, there's a urine drug test and a background check.

After submitting my resume, the process included a background check, a talk with the department manager, and then a face-to-face interview, after which I was hired. The whole thing took about 30 days. There was also a drug test. I interviewed with the department manager and then his director. It was a very smooth process overall. The onboarding and training for SunGard culture was minimal and could have been better.
