Behavioral Technical

I did a pre-recorded interview and then a quick virtual chat with the hiring manager. The pre-recorded part had a bunch of behavioral questions, and the live virtual one was about why I want this role.

Behavioral Technical

It's been disappointing seeing companies like this one to ghost people. The process goes slow and it takes 3 months to get through every stage. there are 3 rounds of them: phone screen, Hirevue Video interview and then skype interview with a data project assigned before the skype. It takes a lot of efforts to complete all the tasks. And I pass through all steps, but after background check they told me they are having enough people. then what is the reason for this interview then? And later I found they just hire someone else. Why Couldn't you be frank and sincere instead of ghosting people by lies? Disappointed.

Technical Behavioral Other

The interview process had two parts, starting with an online video interview where I recorded my answers to about 3 or 4 written questions. Then there was a personal aptitude test which included a personality test and a logical reasoning test. The video interview platform was decent and had a practice feature, though I found talking to a recording awkward. The aptitude test was fine and I get why they use it for screening many applicants. I got a reply from HR about my aptitude test, which confirmed I passed, although I wasn't immediately notified. About two weeks after the aptitude test, I got an email saying I didn't move forward, which felt like a long time. Overall, the process was okay but could be improved; it didn't feel technical enough for a Data Scientist role. This job posting was up for a long time, longer than usual for Calgary O&G roles, likely because hiring data scientists is tough due to the novelty of the role. I think the video interview should have more technical questions.
