The interview was pleasant and the technical part was good, but they seem a bit behind on technology. The office policy is strictly 5 days a week in-office with no remote options. The salary offered was decent, just a bit below the market average. It seems like a fast-paced workplace with a great team.

Behavioral Technical Case

I got a call from a recruiter about an opening at Sun life, and the process started with an HR call for a quick intro. Then, I was asked to come in for an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, which also included an aptitude test. Later, I was told I made it to the final round, which was with the client. They asked basic questions mostly about my past projects and what I was responsible for. Everything seemed to go well, but then they went silent and didn't let me know the outcome. I tried following up multiple times, but got no response. It would be good to at least get some feedback, as candidates put in a lot of effort, and not hearing back is unprofessional.

So I had a phone interview scheduled, but they never called me. I waited a bit, then I had to call HR myself to figure out why they missed the interview. Turns out they had the wrong phone number, even though the one on my application was correct. They rescheduled for the next day. However, when I checked my application again, it said 'declined,' which was pretty upsetting. I think they stopped considering me after that. I mentioned the declined status during the call, and it was super short.
