I had a 1-hour meeting with management and then another 1-hour meeting with the lab manager. They asked some basic technical questions about my experience and my reasons for seeking a new role. The interviewers seemed a bit disengaged, lacking enthusiasm, possibly due to a long day. However, the company itself appears very promising, with high-quality lab facilities and equipment, suggesting a positive and forward-looking environment.

The interview process started with a phone chat with the department manager. Then, after a few weeks, there were group interviews, followed by a one-on-one with the department manager. It was a long process but it was good to find out who I would work with and what the job entailed. This was a temp-to-hire role and it took 7 months to get a permanent offer.

First, there was a short screening call with the recruiter. After that, I had an online interview with 4 people. Finally, I had an in-person interview which included a tour of the labs. I got to the final round interview but then didn’t hear back from them. In total, I interviewed with 6 people from the company.
