Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Summa Health System.
Registered Nurse
I applied online, and it was a pretty detailed application where I submitted my resume. Then I waited to hear back from the nurse recruiter. I interviewed with her, and she asked me about my preferred work locations if there were other openings, like if I was applying for a specific floor or any available position. If they wanted to move forward, they'd call me back for a second interview with the nurse manager. The whole process was pretty fast, and they got back to me quickly.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Registered Nurse
I went to Summa hospital for my interview. I met with the nurse manager on the unit and also did the paperwork for HR. There was also a background check and they checked my references. Overall, it was a really good experience, though I do get a bit nervous during one-on-one interviews.
- What would you do in a specific situation?
- Can you share an example of a positive action you took and how you managed it?
- Can you share an example of a negative action you took and how you managed it?
Registered Nurse
I did the online application, then they emailed me. I called them back and they asked me a bunch of questions. After our phone chat, they emailed me again asking me to fill out another application, which felt pretty repetitive.
- Regarding your BSN degree, what are your future plans?
