First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SuMi Trust.
Vice President
After I sent in my application, HR reached out for a first call to chat about my background and why I'm interested in the position. Then, I had a bunch of interviews with people on the team and higher-ups. Each interview mixed questions about my past experiences with technical stuff or things specific to the job. The interviewers were pretty nice and made it clear what they were looking for. Everything moved along pretty fast, and HR kept me in the loop the whole time.
- Tell me about a time you had to persuade an important person who didn't initially agree with your plan. What steps did you take, and what happened in the end?
Operations Analyst
The interview process was super fast and easy. There were three rounds in total. The first round was online and started with a quick 5-minute chat with HR. Then, HR connected you with two analysts from the team. The next two rounds were in person. In the second round, you met the leaders of the operations team. The final, third round involved meeting two people from the front office who are not on the operations team. All interviewers used the same approach, asking about your resume experience and your motivation for applying.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What is your interest in Sumi Trust?
- What motivated you to apply for the Operations Analyst position?
Learning and Engagement Specialist
I had a screening interview that felt sterile and unfriendly. I met with two people: one from HR and one from the department. They didn't waste time with pleasantries and went straight to questions, although the HR person was late. I got through the awkward atmosphere and hoped for an update on my status, but they ghosted me completely. It was very unprofessional.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What's your proficiency with Excel?
- Have you organized events related to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals?
AML Specialist
I applied via irish jobs and then after 2 weeks I was invited for a first interview. The first interview with the Head of AML. It was a standard interview with background and technical questions. After one week I receive an email from the HR asking me to meet up for a second interview. The second interview with the Head of AML and HR was more a motivational/background interview. Head of AML was very kind in all instances. The week after I receive the feedback from HR. I dont know if I can call it a feedback as it was a standard email with no feedback. This was vary bad behaviour in my opinion. I dedicate 2 hours of my life to answer their questions and HR couldn't take 2 minutes to write the reason because I was not progressed.
- What is your background?
- Do you have technical knowledge about AML?
- Are you motivated for this role?
