Software Engineer
It was a pretty easy process with a nice interviewer. There were three rounds total: a first technical, then an advanced technical, and finally the HR round. It was all very simple and direct. The online test was okay, it had two coding questions and some multiple-choice questions covering both technical topics and general aptitude, all on Hackerrank. They really stuck to the basics in both the online assessment and the interviews.
- SQL queries and coding questions were asked in the first round.
- The second round covered advanced technical topics, including questions on Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Data Structures and Algorithms, and Computer Networks.
Software Engineer
It started with a screening call discussing the role and expectations. The first question was about Frontend Coding, and the second involved a general discussion plus a known DSA question. Despite my best efforts and what I felt was a strong performance, the feedback was that I wasn't a perfect fit. It felt like a couple of rounds, but the outcome was negative. I'm taking it all with a grain of salt, suspecting the role itself might be the issue – possibly a tentative or unnecessary position. The hiring manager even mentioned looking for someone to blame for production issues. I'm choosing to view this experience cautiously.
- Questions on Frontend component Coding
- A question on general discussion plus one DSA based question.
Senior Software Engineer
This was a weird interview process. There were 4 rounds in total, and I had to go through all of them without knowing the results of the previous ones. The schedule got changed multiple times, and the recruiter didn't even let me know about it. After completing all 4 rounds, I was ghosted. The recruiter stopped responding, so I had to assume I didn't pass. I reached out to the recruiter and was told that feedback consolidation was ongoing and I'd be updated, but then nothing happened for weeks.
