Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Subway.
Cashier
The application process was simple, and I heard back for an interview within a week. The interview itself, both the phone call and the in-person meeting, was straightforward. I received an offer the day after the interview, but I turned it down because it wasn't the right fit for me and the salary negotiation didn't work out.
- How would you de-escalate a situation with an upset customer?
Cashier
The interview process was easy and friendly. They asked common sense questions and inquired about my previous experience and customer service abilities. The interview was held early, and the interviewers were very professional and kind. They seemed like lovely people who genuinely care about the company.
- What is your relevant experience in years?
Cashier
The manager was really nice and asked me questions like what my strengths are and also asked some scenario questions, like what I would do if I had an online order at the same time a customer walked in. A good answer to say is I would print the online order and start the customer first and then if I have free time to start the other order or just wait till, I finished the customer then get to the online order.
- What are your strengths?
- How would you handle an online order when a customer walks in at the same time?
