First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Subex.
Software Test Engineer
So there were 5 rounds in total. First was a written test which had aptitude, verbal, and logical reasoning questions, plus 2 programming problems. The programming questions were super hard and the time was tight, honestly not relevant for a testing role if you're good at the other parts. Then came Technical Interview 1, with a friendly interviewer asking about C, Java, SQL, and some puzzles. Technical Interview 2 was with a serious interviewer who asked technical stuff and some weird external affairs questions, like current hot topics abroad. I didn't know the answer to that. The Managerial round was kind of fun, with questions about testing and my past projects. The manager kept saying 'perfect' and seemed satisfied. I really thought I nailed it. Finally, the HR round, which wasn't even in a proper interview setting, just by reception. The HR just told me I wasn't selected, which was totally unexpected and upsetting. I emailed for feedback but got nothing. Later found out from a friend that the company isn't really hiring freshers and might just be interviewing for show. They want 'supermans' and 'spidermans', so don't waste your time if you're not one.

Senior Test Engineer
It was pretty much as I expected. It began with a typical HR call to see if my expected salary was within their range. Then, two days after the initial phone call, I had a technical interview with a senior team member, which went well. After that, there was a one-on-one with a senior manager that felt more like an introductory chat. The last step was back with HR to sort out the offer details.
- Can you describe the cultural differences between your previous workplace and this one?
Test Engineer
I had a direct face to face interview call with Subex Limited. There were a total of 3 technical rounds followed by an HR round. The first round was conducted by the Test Lead. The interview went well, so make sure to brush up before your interview.
