The interview takes 4 stages: HR, online test, hiring manager and take home test with team interview. The online test is the most difficult part by far. Absolutely impossible to get.

The process involved various technical tests and several interviews with the hiring manager and the team. There were quite a few steps in total, but the process was quite agile.

First up was a 45-minute HR call, followed by a 30-minute online test covering Math, Probability, Statistics, Optimisation, Programming, Computer Literacy, and Machine Learning. It was pretty tough, more about knowing stuff than solving puzzles. Apparently, guessing wrong deducts points (-1) and skipping a question gives 0, though this wasn't stated upfront. Then, I had a 45-minute interview with the data science lead, where we mostly discussed the team's work at Stuart and my CV/skills. After that, there was a 30-minute chat with the chief data officer, which I suspect is usually the final stage. This was followed by a 3-hour coding take-home assignment; it wasn't overly difficult but the time felt tight. Next, a 1-hour live coding session with the data science lead, which was challenging and engaging. The final interview was 2 hours long, involving a presentation on my previous work/research, followed by questions on that, and then a discussion about the take-home assignment and some operations research topics.
