First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Strive Logistics.
Software QA Engineer
I applied online and then had a phone interview with someone from HR. I felt the phone interview went well and we discussed setting up a technical interview with their engineers, but then I received an email stating they had decided not to proceed, without any explanation. It was a bit confusing since my skills seemed to align perfectly with the job and I really thought I would get another interview. But, at least they provided some response when they decided not to move forward, which is more than what most companies do these days.
- What's your reason for seeking a new position?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Could you describe your technical proficiencies?
Account Executive
I applied through a college career fair and got an interview the next day. I spoke with a manager from the carrier sales team, who was very laid back. I heard back about a second interview later the following week and scheduled an onsite. The onsite involved a tour, shadowing two Account Executives (one from customer sales and one from carrier sales), and finally interviewing with four managers (two from customer sales and two from carrier sales). The customer sales managers were really knowledgeable and conducted the interviews more like conversations than scripted interrogations.
- How do you handle criticism?
National Account Sales
I initially connected with the people from Strive Logistics at ASU's career fair, and what stood out was that they weren't typical recruiters but actually individuals I'd be working with and who held sway in the hiring decisions. After that, I was invited to a group interview with about 15 other candidates, where I got to meet the rest of the Arizona team. Following that, I was asked to come to the office for a 'day in the life' experience, which was super informative and gave me a great feel for what my daily routine would be like at Strive, the work environment, and my future colleagues.
- Were there any unusual questions compared to other interviews?
Customer Operations Specialist
It was an easy interview process. First, there was an on-campus interview that lasted about an hour. Then, I went on-site and met with approximately 8 people, each in a different role and with different responsibilities. The process concluded with interviews with a few head managers. It was very laid-back and straightforward. No unreasonable questions were asked.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
