First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stripes.
Summer Analyst
The recruiter was super nice and really responsive at first. Then, the analyst I spoke with was very dry, and it seemed like they just wanted to get the interview over with. They were late for the call and ended it early because they were busy. I didn't get the sense they were trying to get to know me or convince me to join Stripes; it felt more like they were just evaluating me.
- Can you suggest three companies that would be good potential partners for Stripes?
- What makes you want to work at Stripes?
Analyst
It started with a phone screen with HR, who was really nice and kept me in the loop. After that, I had several interviews with the investment team. They mostly asked behavioral questions, with a couple about their portfolio companies. Make sure you know their investment style inside out.
- Can you name a portfolio company you admire?
- Which portfolio company stands out to you?
- Tell me about a company in your portfolio that you're fond of.
Analyst
The interview process started with a 30 minute phone interview, followed by an in person interview. The final round took place at Stripes Group's New York office. The whole process took about two to three weeks.
- Could you explain your interest in growth equity?
- What technologies are you interested in?
- Which companies do you think we should be sourcing?
