The first interview was a meet and greet, which led to a second interview. The second interview was actually a job shadowing assessment, not a traditional interview. I felt blindsided by this because I thought I had an interview at 11 AM and then a job shadowing event from 2-6 PM. I had repeatedly asked for clarification on the details of the job shadow event (what it entailed, where I'd be, who I'd work with, what to bring, and the timeframe), but my questions were never answered. I was only told my interview was at 11 AM and to bring a notepad and pen. This felt shady, disrespectful, and irresponsible of Streamline. I had to arrange alternative childcare because I didn't know the actual hours of the event and assumed I'd be done by 6 PM. I carpooled with another team member, so I didn't have my own transportation back to the office. The job shadow event actually ran from 11:30 AM to 7 PM. This is all voluntary. I still had no idea what to expect. I went with a team member to Walmart and observed them selling their product to shoppers. I did learn a lot, and my team member was professional, informative, and driven. This is a sales position, and the job description I applied for was misleading. Back at the office, I completed a questionnaire, which my team member took to the hiring manager. After their meeting, I had to give my team member a sales pitch about myself to be considered for a third interview. After a brief discussion, I realized this wasn't the position I thought it was, nor did I want it. I thanked my team member and left around 8 PM. I'll learn from this, but if I had known the details, I wouldn't have gone to the second interview, saving both Streamline and myself time.

The interview process was super informative and thorough. The first interview was short, maybe 10-15 minutes, where the manager talked about the company culture, goals, and history, and then asked about my goals, ambitions, and qualifications. It was clear from the chat how goal-oriented and supportive Streamline is. Then, I was invited back for a second interview and got to spend the day with an account manager who was awesome and ambitious. I got to see one of their promotional events firsthand and they explained the progression opportunities, compensation, company structure, etc. The final interview was an assessment with the hiring manager to see if I'd be a good fit.

This was a super unprofessional interview process. They set a date for me to come in, but then never confirmed or got back to me. The interviewer was also unprofessional. I left feeling like I was too qualified and had wasted my time. This might be a good fit for someone with zero office experience who's basically looking for entry-level sales.
