It was a really informative and thorough process. I learned a lot about the role and the business. I also got to talk to a bunch of different people at the company during the interviews, which gave me a good feel for things before starting.

This was a really great interview process, super easy to follow. I felt really welcome and valued. I'd totally recommend applying here. It all started with a recruiter reaching out on LinkedIn. They told me about the company, the job, and what they needed. The recruiter was upfront about everything - the company, the job details, pay, and if it was remote. My hiring manager was really nice and honest in our talks, giving me a lot of insight into the team, how they're led, and the overall strategy. The whole thing wrapped up in about 2.5 weeks, with a few interviews and a business case assignment.

It was an informal walkthrough of my experience. I had three interviews in total. Each one was very easygoing, and they gave me feedback at the end, which was nice. However, after completing all three interviews and getting positive feedback from each, I was ghosted when it came to the decision. They finally responded a week later after I followed up with HR. They told me they weren't hiring for the position anymore because they were rethinking their strategy for 2022. I found this strange since they were still actively recruiting on LinkedIn and maintained that status. I later found out they had actually filled the position. It was very discouraging because they could have just told me they found a better fit. They made it seem like they would stay in touch but didn't. Overall, it was really disappointing and a waste of time for both parties, as the interview process took a few weeks. I can respect that there might have been a better candidate, but it was disappointing to be lied to about why they didn't extend an offer. They did seem to have a great culture, so my experience might be a unique one. It seems like a great place to work, but they definitely need to improve their hiring practices.

I had a call with a recruiter, then a zoom with the CEO. The CEO didn't share much about the company or the role, asked about me, and then a lot about my connections to other product managers, asking for their names. I got the impression he might have been looking for leads or was unsure about hiring a VP of Product. He used to be a product executive himself. After a few weeks, they let me know they went with someone else, though I haven't seen a VP of Product join. I'd happily recommend former colleagues, but this interview felt confusing and a bit like I was used. Wishing the company well, but I'm glad to be moving on :-).
