Interpreter
This was a long process. It involved online interpretation through recorded videos. You could re-record yourself as many times as you wanted before sending in the final version. There weren't too many medical words, and I'd say they were mostly general medical vocabulary.
- What are your strategies for managing challenging situations, particularly when faced with unfamiliar medical terminology?
Interpreter
It was a quick process. You do a test that evaluates your language skills and knowledge of terminology. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour. The person administering the test was nice and helped you out a lot. They took the time to explain each part and let you take breaks to get settled in before each section.
- Questions about medical terminology
- Questions about languages
- Questions about insurance
Interpreter
It starts easy but there are a few more steps and it gets to be more extensive at the final interview. It is more an assessment of your interpersonal skills and your capacity to make sound and ethical judgments when faced with unusual or difficult scenarios.
- Can you describe a time you encountered an ethical issue and explain your actions?
