I talked to two people during the process. One asked about my background and interests. The other asked questions to see how well I could learn and fit in with the company. Everyone seemed friendly and happy working there, but I turned down the offer after I learned more about what the company actually does. It turns out the job involves calling people who were denied loans because of bad credit. I'd ask if they still wanted a loan, tell them I could help them get out of debt and make a financial plan. I'd advise them to stop paying their loans and put all their money into a new account. The idea is that the money would grow, and they could use it to pay off their biggest debts. Most people would probably stop paying after a few payments, but the company profits from the money they already put in. I'm not comfortable working for a company that takes advantage of people, even with good pay, culture, or commissions.

The interview process was great and consisted of two steps. I heard back immediately and they offer great benefits and opportunities for employees to grow. The first interview was a phone interview and the second interview was a zoom call.
