First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Strata Decision Technology.

This interview process was amazing until the end. I got to chat with many people I would be working with and learn a lot about the company. The first round was with HR, the second round was with the hiring manager, the third was a technical assessment as well as an interview with two potential teammates, the final interview was with two more teammates. On two separate occasions HR asked me salary expectations. They then offered me LESS than my current salary even though I already told them my expectation and when I tried to negotiate they pulled the offer. I don’t understand why they would waste my time and put me through a lengthy process after knowing my expectation of they weren’t going to pay me that. It’s offensive and inconsiderate. I think they want the best of the best for little money. Very disappointing.
- Why Strata and what will you bring to the company?
Consultant
It was several rounds, starting with a screening call. The second round was a two hour zoom session. The first 45 minutes had two team members asking standard questions about my background. Then there was a 30 minute critical thinking test on a Word doc. The last 45 minutes was more conversational, reviewing my test answers, though they didn't seem too focused on the test itself. The third round was a 30 minute call with a VP. I expected a fourth call with the CEO, but never heard back from the recruiter after the VP call, so I guess I didn't move forward. The interviewers were mostly friendly and not intimidating. The recruiter was responsive until after the third round, then I was ghosted. I put a lot of time into preparing and was really excited, but getting ghosted after the VP interview was disappointing. A rejection email would have been nice. I liked the company, but I won't reapply if other roles open up.

The interview process moves fast. I had two phone interviews, followed by two in-person interviews where I met two people at each. During the in-person part, they hit me with some brainteaser/critical thinking questions. The folks interviewing me were super friendly.
- Can you estimate the total amount of white paint consumed annually in the United States?
