Strand came to my university. I applied online through Handshake, and then they contacted me for an interview. I interviewed with one employee on campus. Then, I was emailed and offered a second interview at the company office. I interviewed with the main PE at the office, and then had a conference video interview with the Wisconsin office. Everyone was very nice and it was an overall very pleasant experience. Everyone went out of their way to make you feel very comfortable during the interview process.

My interview with Strand Associates went pretty well, I thought. The person interviewing me was really nice and friendly. She mentioned that the work environment there is pretty inclusive and adaptable. It seems like you get to work on pretty much all aspects of civil engineering, except for Geotech. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job because they said they didn't have any openings that really fit my skills.

It started with an online interview where they asked questions about my resume and about the company. Then, I had an in-person interview where we talked about my career goals, they showed me around the building, and we discussed the role I would have over the summer.
