Software Engineer
The whole interview process was super quick, taking only 3 weeks from when I applied online and HR reached out. The main hiccup was the final decision, which dragged on for another 3 weeks. HR gave me some lame excuses for rejecting me, like they found someone 'slightly' better. Honestly, if that was the case, why not offer me a role at a lower level? I suspect it's because I'm on a visa. I genuinely felt I was the best candidate, capable of finding multiple coding solutions for every problem, which the interviewer seemed to appreciate. But HR strung me along until my visa was about to expire, giving me false hope. This is totally unacceptable. If you're a visa holder, don't bother applying; they won't hire you regardless.
- Can you tell me when your visa is set to expire?
Applications Developer
So there were a few interviews. I spoke with the technical team, HR, and the VP. I also had to take a Wonderlic test online. They asked me about my experience with Pick systems and explained the corporate culture. It's a really amazing company, but unfortunately, I couldn't accept the offer for personal reasons.
- What are your usual interview questions?
Software Engineer
I first spoke with the HR manager who mostly reviewed my resume. Then, two engineers from the team interviewed me about my technical background. They were friendly and didn't ask any trick questions. They said they'd let me know, and that I would have an IQ test, but it took over a week for them to respond after I followed up via email... they had already hired someone else.
