Software Engineer
The whole interview process was super quick, taking only 3 weeks from when I applied online and HR reached out. The main hiccup was the final decision, which dragged on for another 3 weeks. HR gave me some lame excuses for rejecting me, like they found someone 'slightly' better. Honestly, if that was the case, why not offer me a role at a lower level? I suspect it's because I'm on a visa. I genuinely felt I was the best candidate, capable of finding multiple coding solutions for every problem, which the interviewer seemed to appreciate. But HR strung me along until my visa was about to expire, giving me false hope. This is totally unacceptable. If you're a visa holder, don't bother applying; they won't hire you regardless.
- Can you tell me when your visa is set to expire?
Manager
The hiring process was super fast. A really nice recruiter reached out to me and we quickly scheduled the interview. I had a great time interviewing. I spoke with 3 interviewers who were all very professional and nice.
- How would you describe your management style?
Web Designer
I first met with HR and the E-commerce Director. They were great, asked good questions, and really responded well to my concerns. I was fortunate enough to get a second interview. In that one, I met the COO, who was calm and asked some great questions about me and my interests.
- Can you tell me why you want to work at Storis?
- Are you aware of the specific role you applied for?
- Do you enjoy collaborative teamwork?
Desktop Support
I applied online through ZipRecruiter and then a few weeks later I got a call to set up an interview. I went in and met with HR who told me about the job, and then I met with the head of IT who asked me about my background, college, etc. They were both really nice and easy to talk to. They told me I'd hear back either way, and about 2 weeks after the interview I got a letter saying I didn't get the job. Even though I didn't get the job, it was a good experience and I'd apply again if another spot opened up.
- When do you estimate you will graduate college?
