Senior Software Engineer
First there was a quick call with the HR manager which was easy, then a more conversational interview with one of the Senior Software Engineers about the responsibilities of the role and my background. Both of these were reasonable straightforward, but the 60 minute coding portion that followed was actually pretty complex. I would recommend practicing some leetcode beforehand.
- Fairly complex coding problem involving boats, arrays, and time windows :D
Software Engineer
The interview process involved 4 interviews: an initial HR chat, a coding interview with an engineer, a case study interview, and a final chat with the VP. I initially thought the coding interview would focus on Node.js based on HR's questions, but it turned out to be about React. Scheduling was a major issue initially, with significant delays and very short notice for the technical interview, even on a holiday week, which I missed due to poor communication. After that, scheduling improved. The case study was standard, and the VP chat included some technical questions. The entire process from the first interview to rejection took 54 days.
- Could you explain what the spread operator is in JavaScript?
Software Engineer
It went very smooth. I cleared the technical interview, but couldn't pass managerial round. They asked me about things mentioned in my resume. SQL joins, Python Coding, About your internship, minor project in college. They asked me to solve a python code on the board.
- Tell me about SQL joins.
- Can you write some Python code?
- What can you tell me about your internship?
