& Process

I went through 2 rounds. First one was just a conversation about goals and experience. Second round was technical, and it checked if I could read SQL queries and apply some statistics and analysis on a dataset using Excel/Access. The recruiter didn't mention the second round was technical, so I was in the dark. I also didn't know I'd have to use Excel as it wasn't mentioned in the job description.

I heard back about a week after applying online and got called in for an interview. First, I had a short 15-minute chat with the nurse recruiter. She asked around 3 behavioral questions and then talked a lot about the hospital. Right after, I met with the manager of the floor I applied to. She mainly explained what the floor was like and asked me 2 behavioral questions. A week later, they scheduled an interview with the clinicians on the floor. They went over the orientation process and asked me some specific questions about my resume. Everyone was really nice and I felt comfortable during the interviews.

A couple of weeks after applying, I got a call from a recruiter who set up an interview with the nurse manager. The nurse manager and another nurse interviewed me over the phone. I think it went well, and they talked about orientation and hours at the end. The nurse mentioned I should hear back in about a week. After waiting a week and two days, I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter and am currently waiting to hear back.

It was about a half hour interview. I thought they were into me since they asked for references and said they'd decide in a couple of weeks. But, they never told me what happened, even after I followed up by phone over a month later. They said they would call me back to let me know but never did. Obviously, I didn't get the job, but it's not a great way to treat people you might hire.
