The interview process was pretty good overall, the people I met were really nice. They gave me a project to do for the in-person interview. Sadly, I didn't get the job even though it felt like they liked what I presented. It might have been because I didn't have much experience in buying before.

I had a phone call, then a presentation/project, followed by an on-site interview. The phone screen went well, but the online presentation/project had technical issues. They couldn't hear me unless muted, and I couldn't hear them unless muted. I used two monitors to see them while presenting, and I think they misinterpreted that as not being able to see them. I noticed they weren't paying attention and were chatting and on their phones the whole time. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming they were taking notes. Due to the technical issues and their apparent lack of interest, I assumed they weren't interested in me. I was surprised when they invited me on-site. I had considered withdrawing but decided to go. The interview process put me off, and I went in with the wrong attitude, feeling like they needed to impress me. They still felt I needed to impress them. It wasn't a good match, and I didn't get an offer.

So the process is a bit much. You have to do a project that takes a lot of time, and then you have to go into the office and do part of it there. It's tough because you don't know their systems or how they report things, and you have limited time to figure things out and present. They kind of dock you points if you don't come to the conclusions they expect within the time frame. It would be better if they gave more info upfront. It feels like it's set up to make you fail, but congrats to those who can do it. It's a great company with awesome benefits, but they really need to rethink the interview project.
