Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stibo Systems.
Software Developer
I applied through a recruiter and expected a few interviews focusing on company fit and technical skills. After talking with a project manager, I was given a take-home assignment, which I finished and submitted. A week after I sent it in, I received an email stating I was rejected because another candidate was a better psychological fit. I tried to get more feedback or details on the take-home review but was unsuccessful. Overall, it felt like a bit of a waste of time; I think they should provide more constructive feedback when they give out take-home assignments.
- Can you discuss your recent projects and your experience?
Software Engineer
The interview involved core Java questions and a coding exercise with collections and Java 8 features. There were three rounds in total: two technical and one managerial. The interviewer was helpful and approachable.
- What are Java 8 Features?
- Write simple code on Collections using Patterns.
Senior Software Developer
It looks like everyone who interviews gets hired at this company. They also prefer to promote from within for senior roles, which is good to know. They primarily want to understand your background and assess if you're a good fit for the team.
- Can you share your most significant mistake made during your career?
