It was a pretty smooth process, which wrapped up in a few weeks. You'll interact with different people in the Property Management team, like the Regional Director and AVP. If it progresses, you might even meet with the Vice President. This department has a pretty complex hierarchy, so expect to meet with various levels.

I gave my resume straight to the hiring manager. Got a call two days later to set up an interview. The person I spoke with was really nice, and it felt more like chatting than a formal interview. They offered me the job about a week and a half after that.

Behavioral Case

I was first contacted by someone external who set up an interview. The interview with the team that day went pretty well, I thought. We discussed everything, and all my questions were answered. It really seemed like a good fit for both sides, and the property manager at the time even said they'd be in touch soon and thought I was a great candidate. I was excited because it felt like a perfect match. About three days after the interview, I followed up with the external contact for a status update. They said they didn't have one yet but would get back to me. The next week, I got a call from a new property manager at the same place. It seemed like a great fit again, both for me and for them. Two days after that phone interview, I reached out to the new property manager again to ask for an update, as things were taking a while. They told me directly, 'I will reach out to you no later than Monday.' Monday came and went, and the whole week passed without any word. That was my last attempt to follow up because I have other job offers, but I was really hoping for this one. Overall, I was pretty let down by how unorganized and disrespectful of my time the process felt. After so many 'we'll be in touch soon' comments, it became clear I wasn't going to hear back. Maybe it wasn't on purpose, but it definitely left a unprofessional impression.

After submitting my online application and resume, I was given tasks to complete, either through email or the company portal. The entire application process, including spreadsheets, online tasks, and email communication, took me about 8 hours.
