Behavioral Technical

This place is great if you like a hiring manager who smirks at you and plays mind games with you as you talk. You can tell as you're just exchanging platitudes that he's really crunching the numbers upstairs to see if you're really going to be one of the homey Steris types, a "yes" man to everything and one to lay down the whole life to the new Steris god. I was unimpressed and frankly wanted to get out of there.

Behavioral Other

It took about 6 months total with a few phone interviews and then a final in-person meeting. For the face-to-face, I got to the restaurant 15 minutes before the scheduled lunch time and saw the district manager already finishing up with one of his supervisors. That really set the stage for how things would be in that district.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process included a phone screen, an interview with the manager, and then an on-site panel interview. During the panel interview, the HR person asked my name in front of everyone. I gave a simple nickname but they kept using the wrong name, even after I corrected them a few times. I eventually stopped correcting them because I didn't want to seem difficult. Looking back, that might have been a sign of a bad work environment. They even laughed at me at one point, which I found unprofessional, though I admit I can be awkward. The communication wasn't great between the interviewers and the HR rep. I was told I'd get confirmations for two interview steps, but I never received them.
