Software Developer
I applied about a month ago and got a call from the recruiter which went well. Then, the recruiter scheduled me with the Manager for a Teams behavioral round to discuss my background and experience. After that, they set up 4 online interviews. The first was with the Manager, who asked a series of behavioral questions. Next was a Technical round with the Team Lead, covering MVC Architecture, joins, SQL, ASP.NET, and Blazor in about 30 minutes. The following day, I had an interview with HR for more behavioral questions, and finally, an interview with the Director to talk about my experience.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your work experience?
- What is MVC Architecture?
- Can you explain joins?

I had a screening interview that went fine. Then there was a technical interview that lasted an hour. It was a bit strange because the job posting said .NET knowledge wasn't necessary for entry-level, but they expected it during the technical interview. First, they asked me to define a bunch of .NET terms. Then, one of the interviewers shared their screen and wanted me to explain the code line by line. After that, they presented a hypothetical situation and asked me to outline an app architecture from scratch, including specific technology choices, justifications, and implementation details. Honestly, I felt it was a bit much for an entry-level role.
- Could you elaborate on your understanding of design patterns?
- What are your thoughts on design patterns?
- Can you explain your knowledge regarding design patterns?

The whole interview took about 2.5 hours and was like a marathon of three interviews, one after another, with different people from HR and the tech team. They all hit me with the same kind of behavioral questions, asking about stuff I'd done before. In between those, we just chatted casually and they threw in a few tech questions too. These little breaks made it feel less intense and gave us a chance to get to know each other better. I thought it was easy, not because the questions were a breeze (they were pretty standard), but because there wasn't much pressure, and it's easier to do well when you don't feel cornered.
- Can you share an example of a challenge you encountered and how you successfully navigated it, using the STAR method?
- Prepare to discuss your background and resume in detail.
- It is advised to be well-acquainted with your past experiences and resume to perform well.
